Hmm how should I start this blogpost? I have been getting weird questions from people around me. Not those "abuden" questions, like hmmm, I understand sometimes they really need help, and I say yes most of the time. But, when it comes to stuff that they actually can do or find out the solution themselves, I really have to think about it lo! Like for example, the laziest person in the world - my cute younger brother BERNARD!
"Jie, can you help me to wash the plates, please?'
"Jie, how to use the printer?"
"Jie, the toilet very dirty lah"
Jie, our house very messy lah"
"Jie, I am very hugry."
"Jie, how to pay my uni fees?"
"Jie, how to do this, how to do that?"
He is always seeking for answers but not the solutions, he doesn't even wants to try solving problems himself. He isn't the only one though, some of my friends too. I don't understand at all!!
"Hey, where is the prac lab manual/lecture notes?"
(well obviously, its in the blackboard, hello?)
"Hey, which prac group am I in?"
(eh, how the hell would I know?you think what? I am more than an encyclopedia, who knows everything, even everyone's student numbers?)
its okay if they've tried, but failed, I will help, for sure.
I asked my brother:" Why can't you try solving things before jumping straight into answers?"
He questioned me back :" Why can't you make my life easier?"
OMG, how could you ma fan other people just to make your life easier? Seriously? Google is one of the best things in the world, why don't you fully utilize it?!
Sometimes, I feel really sick by spending my free time just to do someone's favour, while they are enjoying their "easy" life out there =.=
Haih, guess I should learn how to say NO, in a friendly way ;(

during primary days, when i ask my bro for easy answers, he scolded me and ask me to look for it by myself.
ReplyDeletei hated him for the first few years, but im glad he did so. bcz im learning to do so much things by myself.
appreciating it, after knowing that so many people was not taught to solve own issues by themselves but rely on others most of the time.
